8 Days Trek in Nepal

The Everest View Trek is a short scenic trek to the Everest View Hotel, the best rated hotel in the world, located in the Khumbu region, northeast of Nepal. The ride offers breathtaking views of Mount Everest, the world’s tallest mountain, and other panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayas. It offers insight into ancient Sherpa traditions, culture and heritage while stopping at their settlements and monasteries. Ride through the mild climate of Sagarmatha National Park’s sub-mountain terrain, offering the chance to see its rare wildlife. The hike route cuts through the original portion of the popular Everest hiking trail. It starts with a beautiful flight from Kathmandu to Lukla; After that, the trip starts at Phaking village. From there, head towards Namche Bazaar, the tourist center of Khumbu. After enjoying views of Mount Everest and other surrounding mountains, retrace your steps to Monjo village, then to Lukla for your flight back to Kathmandu.
The Everest View Trek is an easy to moderate trek reaching a maximum altitude of 3,880m with an average of 5 hours of walking per day. It is designed for both beginners and experienced people who want to experience the true beauty of the Everest region for a limited time with luxury.

Outline Itineary

Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu - Our representative will pick you up from International Airport and transfer to hotel

Day 02: We will take a 30 minute flight from Kathmandu to reach Lukla and trek for 3 hours to reach Phakding (2,651m)

Day 03: We trek for 6 hours from Phakding to reach Namche Bazaar (3,438m)

Day 04: We trek for 5 hours from Namche Bazaar to reach Khumjung

Day 05: We trek fro 5 hours from Khumjung back to Phakding (2,652m)

Day 06: We trek for 4 hours from Phakding back to Lukla (2,850m)

Day 07: We fly back from Lukla back to reach Kathmandu

Day 08: Final Departure - We will drop you to International Airport for your onward journey

Detail Itineary

Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu - Our representative will pick you up from International Airport and transfer to hotel

Day 02: We will take a 30 minute flight from Kathmandu to reach Lukla and trek for 3 hours to reach Phakding (2,651m)

Early morning we fly from Kathmandu to Lukla via mountain flight of about 40 minutes scenic flight. With clear weather, we get fantastic views of the mountains, including Everest, as we enter the deep gorge of the Dudh Kosi valley. You begin your trek from Lukla following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Along the way, you will have a view of Mt Nupla (5885m) Kusum Kanguru (6367m) and Mount Kwongde Range. We then take a leisurely walk for about two hours to Phakding village. However, if interested in additional activities, we can make a side trip to a nearby monastery. Have some rest time rest strolling around the village for local knowledge.


Day 03: We trek for 6 hours from Phakding to reach Namche Bazaar (3,438m)

From Phakding the trail follows the Dudh Koshi valley north, meandering through the pines, crossing it twice by small suspension bridges before reaching the village of Monjo, the entrance gate of the Sagarmatha National Park. Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes waterfalls and other culturally and naturally occurring items of interest. Villages are with magnificent forests of Rhododendron, Magnolia, and fir. Along the way to you will be rewarded with your first glimpse of Kusum Kanguru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8848m), and Nuptse (7879 m). The trail climbs through the forests and bridges until we reach the confluence of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. After a final steep ascent of about two hours, we get first sight fist of at Mt. Everest, peering over the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar (3440m) will afford you further spectacular views and a comfortable place to spend the second night of the trek.


Day 04: We trek for 5 hours from Namche Bazaar to reach Khumjung

Retrace the journey back to Shanasha, from Shanasha, where the trail from Khumjung, Gokyo, and to Namche meets. Trekking up for about 2 hours and then leveling off until we reach the village of Khumjung. Heading to Khumjung, the largest settlement of Khumbu Valley, is one of the oldest and largest Sherpa settlements in the Khumbu region (Everest region). The village is the seat of the Khumjung village development committee, which includes Khunde, Khumjung, Tengboche, Pangboche, Pheriche, Dole, Machhermo, Lobuche, Dingboche, Gokyo, and some small town, the valley is surrounded by the snowy peaks of Kongde and Thamserku. We can take a short hike up to the monastery to view the yeti “scalp” at the Khumjung monastery.


Day 05: We trek fro 5 hours from Khumjung back to Phakding (2,652m)

It is comfortable working with absorbing the magnificent views of surroundings, after Namche Bazaar the trail descends steeply back to Dudh Koshi River. The trail is more accessible now as we are losing altitude, and we can enjoy a gentle walk on the trail Jorsalle. We will work through the forest of magnolia, giant firs, and rhododendrons with the view of distance snow covered peak before arriving Phakding. Phakding is a crowded place but better for your overnight settlement. Spent your night at one of the excellent lodges here, enjoying the local tradition and culture.


Day 06: We trek for 4 hours from Phakding back to Lukla (2,850m)

It will be just a 3 hrs easy and gentle trail back to Lukla. The trail drops steeply and runs level throughout the day. Enjoying the lush green scenery around and passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village arrival in Lukla. You’ll have time to stroll around the local areas. In the evening you can enjoy a typical Nepalese dinner and cultural show.


Day 07: We fly back from Lukla back to reach Kathmandu

Saying a final goodbye to our porters, we return to the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu with a 45-minute flight back to the domestic airport. (It also can be an extra day in case of bad weather in Lukla, which makes the Lukla flight delayed and cancel.) In the evening, you can have your last night in Nepal enjoying the Nepali cultural dinner show exchanging greetings among friends and with all Nepalese people. You can buy some souvenirs and gifts


Day 08: Final Departure - We will drop you to International Airport for your onward journey
