13 days trek in Nepal

The mystical and legendary Buddhist kingdom of Mustang only opened to tourism after 1992 due to its proximity to Tibet. Also known as Lo is like stepping into a time capsule, it has remained off-limits and isolated from the rest of the world for decades, the area has grown with its distinctive culture and rich traditions associated with Tibet. This moderate and little-known trek passes through one of Nepal’s driest regions and offers breathtaking mountain scenery. The Upper Mustang trek is one of the best for those who want to discover the remote and unspoiled treasures of the Himalayas. You will walk on the old trade route used between Tibet and Nepal in the 15th century. One of the most spectacular and exotic corners of Nepal. The last place in Nepal to be ruled by a king and government-imposed restrictions aptly named the region – The Last Forbidden Kingdom

Isolation leads to a settlement with cultures, customs, and ways of life that remain untouched by the modern world. You will be able to discover authentic Nepali-Tibetan traditional cultures as well as heritage sites and biodiversity. We encounter rice, wheat, barley, potatoes and other fields in the arid lands of the Tamang, Gurung, Mustangi and Tibetan peoples.
Upper Mustang is an arid landscape with weathered sandstone columns and morainic terraces forming a colorful mosaic of yellows, reds and browns. The destination warms your soul with the warm welcome of the Buddhists living in this earthly world.
