What Temperature variation to expect in Everest base camp and Annapurna Circuit?
I’m am in the process of packing my clothing gear. What temp variation can I expect for Everest base camp and anapurna circuit the first two weeks in December? Thank is in advance.

I just got back from the Annapurna and wore cotton hiking pants and short sleeve t shirt. Had my puffy at the ready, but days were warm.
I would add to perhaps a second fleece…and for sure a neck gator, little nylon or whatever tubes that you can pull over your head and can be used to cover your neck, or a balaclava but that may be overkill and only useful a few times, the little neck gators, cheap are fine and they can act as an additional layer under your fleece lined yak wool cap and for ear protection. They also work well for a nose and mouth covering on dusty roads during transportation. Also depends on the person of course, the heat packs you can buy for inserting in your boots or gloves, I have found useful the coldest and highest days. Either the toe kind or full sole. Available in home country or at trek shops….check for use by dates and flexibility…they get hard/stiff and lose functionality if too old. BTW, I crossed Thorong La about 8 yrs ago? on Jan 02…very sunny but windy, horrible wind chill factor. I never trek in a down jacket as I carry my own gear and altitude and effort keep me sort of warm, but a wind jacket/weather jacket is highly recommended. You may consider also and pair of weather resistant pants, available in KTM, relatively cheap, usually thin lined that can be used at highest and coldest elevations and/or inclement weather…thin trek pants usually do a good job of blocking wind and with a thin base layer that may be enough….your choice.
If you have a normal layering system (thermal base, fleece midlayer and down or windproof outer layer + a beanie, gloves, and warm socks) you’ll be fine for any variation you’ll get at that time of year.
Prepare for -10 on ACT! Just finished the trek and it was very cold so you def need good thermals, fleece, down and wind jackets
Himalayas are famous for unpredictable weather shift. Night temperature will go -20C, you should consider it while packing your essentials.
I’m currently in the Khumbu and the winds are very strong in the valleys, freezing temps at night but warm (maybe low 50s) in the day when the sun hits. However, that’ll probably drop more in the next few weeks.
It will be very cold, you need a good sleeping bag and merino-underwear
