Hiking Poon Hill!
We are considering hiking Poon Hill, though we want to tack on another week somewhere else, (not necessarily Nepal) after our trek. What are options? We were thinking of Tibet, though direct flights are (for now) are no longer operating. Would appreciate thoughts from the brains trust!

Tibet is a nightmare due to Chinese Covid policy. Bhutan an option but pricy. Darjeeling/Sikkim or Himachal Pradesh in India could work.
I’ve been eyeing up Gilgit-baltistan in Pakistan but am unsure about the visas and permit requirements
Bhutan might be an option
Tibet is closed now. When China opens the Eastern Tibet (Amdo & Kham) is much cheaper to travel than TAR and no guide, permits & fixed plans needed. Biggest monasteries are there and the atmosphere more relaxed.
