I am hoping to do a 4-6 day trek sometime between March 12-26. I did the Poonhill trek in September and am looking for something similar in terms of length/difficulty. Does anyone have recommendations? I’m considering Langtang, Gosaikunda, or Mardi, but am open to other suggestions. I’d also be happy to team up if anyone else is going on a trek during this time!
We have 19 full days in Nepal starting 12 March and want to do the EBC trek. It looks like the flights are full to and from Lukla. Can anyone recommend the best route driving to and from a start point from KTM.
I´m planning my trip to Nepal and exploring the different options on the trekking, and would really like to do the Manaslu circuit trekking. As I won´t be able to get more days off from work, I´m on a bit of a tight schedule, and was wondering if I could get some input from your experiences. I´m currently thinking about going the Friday the 28th of April until the 15th of May. Online I found a couple of options on doing the short version of the Manaslu trekking in 11 days, is this something you would recommend? I´m quite an experience hiker/climber fyi. I was also wondering how the permits would work, as I would only have around 17 days in Nepal in total, and I would be arriving on a Friday night/Saturday, I assume you cannot obtain them during the weekends right? So I would be able to start the trekking on the Tuesday afterwards? Are there any other challenging trekkings of around 13/14 days that you could recommend me or some local guides whom I could contact to talk through different types of possibilities?
Planning a trip to lower mustang to do the usual Jomsom – Kagbeni – Muktinath – Jomsom trek. Now the question is, if i would take a bus/jeep to Tatopani, is it possible to trek to Dobato from there directly? And if, how long does it that? Or do i have to trek via Khopra Ridge?
Few questions came up:1) Is it enough one full day (Sunday) to rent all the extra equipment(sleeping bag, poles etc.) and get permits?2) Can I get trekking permits for Mardi Himal in Kathmandu? I am still to put my final points for the trek, but I think info here would be most updated
3) Which permits do I need for Mardi Himal?4) Do I need/recommended to get to starting point a day before to start in the morning?5) Anyone has trekked Mardi recently, do we need CRAMPONS?
