I have never heard of anyone getting sick from ‘dal bhat’….likely something else, or general uncleanliness while trekking, bathroom procedures etc, lots of potential causes.. Anything from unboiled water, unclean utensils, etc etc. Actually lots of rice, like in dal bhat, is helpful….lay off the spices and currys till better. It will pass…btw do you have a guide or are you in a group?
Plain rice, garlic soup, garlic noodle soup, rara soup, drink ginger tea, ginger lemon honey, fresh water, if you can, please try to eat fresh garlic, it will help against vomitting and ams.
My partner had the same symptoms. We went to the clinic in Namche and found out that he got dengue fever from Kathmandu. He ate plain rice, toasts and loads of ginger lemon tea.
