Solo at Annapurna Circuit Trek
Hi everyone! Will be doing ACT solo without a guide nor porter next week. But are there guides in Manang who I can potentially hire for a few days to do ice lake trek and crossing Thorong La until Muktinath?
A small side question: Understood that maps.me works great for offline maps on ACT, but what phone apps do you guys use on the trail to track distance trekked and elevation?

Just do it solo or buddy up along the way. Lots of people on the trail. No need to hire help.
Yes, ask your hotel receptionist to help find a guide..they have all the connections… Price could be steep..
Strava to track activity, can be used without internet connection. Just make sure you sync at least once every 3 activities, I think it can only store 3 activities in memory (without uploading). Maps.me worked fine, for me it just showed some incorrect altitudes (like you had to climb a 300m vertical wall, while just following the road) when I let it calculate a route. But you’ll recognize when it’s doing that.
Strava is a good app to record.
Map me is also good
No need a guide. We are using maps.me perfectly and have done all that treks. We are in tilicho lake now
As per apps. Mapy.cz for offline distances and altitudes.
Yes there will be guide to him you will be paying 120 dollar even if you take them for 2 days or 3 days
Manang- icelake -muktinath cost almost same as hiring from Kathmandu. And the guides you hire from trail is your risk, they are not licensed
