Hi everyone & Namaste
I am returning to Nepal in December 28 2022 and after a few days in Kathmandu heading to Annapurna Circuit.. am a avid winter trekker and my last one before Covid we did Jiri to EBC and the three passes looking for like minded travellers..
Hi everyone! We are looking to connect Annapurna Circuit with Mardi Himal trek and we thought about taking a jeep from Marpha or Jonsom to Ghandruk or Landruk. Anyone has done it before or something similar??? Thanks in advance
Hello!
I’m looking for a trekking partner for Manaslu Circuit Trek (14 days in total). I already have an experienced guide. I would like to start from Pokhara from November 5th-8th latest, please let me know if amyone would like to join 🙂
I’m thinking of combining the ACT with Upper Mustang trek. The idea is to take a jeep up to Chame, take a walk through Manang and Thorung-la to Muktinath, and then instead of completing the trip through Jomsom, to go north, to the Upper Mustang.
I am well aware that I would need a special permit for that – the question if this itinerary makes sense at all (am thinking about end of April – early May for this). How much time would you plan for this?
Am looking for best recommendations for water purification please?
Thanks in advance for all tips
Hi, planning for Everest Basecamp Trek end of November. Do I really need a sleeping bag? I didn’t need it for Annapurna Circuit this month.
Honest opinion please!
Hi all,
we need some recommendations regarding the best trekking equipment and would be pleased to get some help
We are doing Gokyo Trek in combiation with Ama Dablam BC and returning via Renjo La Pas. We’re asking ourselves if we need the super warm down jacket or just do layering with a more light down jacket
So, how are the temperatures during the day at our hightest spots Ama Dablam BC, Gokyo Ri, maybe Ngozumpa Tse, Renjo La Pas?
If it rains in lower Khumbu region (Namche Bazar for example) – this will only be a litte bit of rain right now, correct? So we maybe can leave the hardshell jacket at home?
I think we will need snow spikes as well for the Renjo la Pas?
Thank you guys
Has anyone here done Safari in Bardiya? What should I be paying for jeep safari?
What are fair prices for different activities in Chitwan National Park? Want to do Safari (walking, jeep, overnight stay , canoe …) including permits etc? Don’t want to get ripped off, finding only expensive offers…
Hi, I finished the Langtang trek yesterday and am thinking of starting the ABC in 3 days. I slept 3 nights in Kyanjin Gompa. I’m a little short on time and have 8-9 days maximum for the trek. Does anyone know if I will still be acclimatized for the ABC from the Langtang trek? Wondering how slowly I need to plan my ascent on the ABC. Thanks!!
Hi everyone! Will be doing ACT solo without a guide nor porter next week. But are there guides in Manang who I can potentially hire for a few days to do ice lake trek and crossing Thorong La until Muktinath?
A small side question: Understood that maps.me works great for offline maps on ACT, but what phone apps do you guys use on the trail to track distance trekked and elevation?
Hi everyone, I’m planning to trek annapurna tour or EBC or three passes trek in January with friends but we were wondering if we would find a lodge every night. Does anyone have recent experience of these treks in January ? Thank you very much !
Hi all !! Someone knows what is the best and cheap way to go from marpha to pokhara (annapurna circuit) ? Bus ? Jeep? Unfortunately i don’t have time to finish walking! Thank you

Anyone already did it alone and maybe has some recommendations
Hello everyone,
My boyfriend and I am thinking about hiking the ACT. We already did multi day hiking in the alps, we exercise sometimes (climbing, jogging) but not really on a regular basis. Do you think good preparation regarding physical exercises the weeks/months before is important to manage the ACT? I find it really hard to estimate the difficulty of the ACT. Thanks in advance!
Hi guys!
We are leaving for lukla tomorow morning and starting on the three passes track! We heard there is a lot of snow on the passes. Is this correct?
Thanks!!

Nepal throws away quarantine requirement and resumes on-arrival visas, in a move hailed by entrepreneurs as much-needed respite for the virus-ravaged industry.
The Immigration Department of Nepal said foreign travellers to Nepal can obtain visas on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and other entry points, including buses from neighbouring India, if the applicants have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine at least 14 days in advance.
Further, the travellers are required to show documents attesting that they have tested negative for coronavirus in a test (any one of RT-PCR/Gene Expert/ True NAAT tests) conducted at most 72 hours before arrival and that they have pre-booked hotel arrangements.
Hotels teetering on the edge amid the coronavirus closure have decided to cut their losses by remaining shuttered for six months, as they don’t expect tourists to visit Nepal for at least another year.
Officials said more than 3,000 hotels will send their staff home because they can’t keep paying their salaries with no revenue coming in due to the lockdown.
Even if the lockdown is lifted, the tourism industry will take time to recover because travellers will not immediately book foreign trips. The hotels will all be bankrupt by the time tourism rebounds as they have to pay staff salaries while income has come down to zero.
